A Journey Towards Safer Workplaces
The vision for WSPAK (Workplace Safety Professionals Association of Kenya) was born in December 2016 during a pivotal meeting in Polucon, Mombasa. What started as a gathering of passionate safety professionals has since evolved into Kenya’s leading association for workplace safety advocacy, training, and certification.
From conducting workshops and policy discussions to shaping industry standards, WSPAK has been instrumental in fostering a culture of safety in workplaces across Kenya. Our mission is to empower professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to make workplaces safer for everyone.
Why We Started
Before WSPAK, workplace safety in Kenya faced critical challenges—lack of proper training, minimal awareness, and weak policy enforcement. Recognizing the urgent need for change, a group of safety experts came together with a shared goal: to create an organization that would set the gold standard for workplace safety in Kenya and beyond.
